THE STORY ABOUT KONFAIR A/S

konfAir a/s was established in 1972 by Lise and Erik Alstrup in the stable buildings at their home in Nøvling under the name “KONF-AIR”. For the first two years, we manufactured pneumatic air stackers for the textile industry and in 1974 we established a long-term and close collaboration with the German needle felt manufacturer BWF. This was the beginning of the production of filter bags.

 

In 1985, "KONF-AIR" was changed from being a sole proprietorship to being a private limited company under the name "KONF-AIR Miljøfiltre Vildbjerg ApS".

 

We spent the first 34 years in the old stable buildings, where we slowly started an expansion of the business. In 1996, a generational change came when Erik's son Christian Alstrup took over the family business. In 2000, we expanded our production with a new building in Vildbjerg and at the same time we started a production in Lithuania.

 

In 2006, “konfAir a/s”, as we know it today, was founded and at the same time we moved the Danish location to our current premises in Tjørring, so that our total production area today is ​​more than 10,000 sqm.

 

Although a lot has happened since 1972, when Lise and Erik Alstrup started konfAir, the basic DNA is the same. We still have focus on our customers and consider ourselves a skilled and flexible partner for both customers as well as suppliers.
