Carbon filters are available in several different versions. They are often used in filtering systems as technical solutions in industries such as kitchens, fast-food outlets, restaurants and other places where odours are a particular problem.
A common feature of carbon filters is that they have an outstanding ability to capture and eliminate odours from the surrounding air.

A cylindrical active carbon cartridge filter, as we know from example hoods, is specially designed to handle odours from the surrounding air.
An active carbon filter is often used in air conditioning systems, exhaust, recirculation and ventilation systems and is used as a technical high-quality solution in industries where odours are a problem.
The carbon filter is highly dust-sensitive and, therefore, it is important to mount a high quality particle filter in front of it. It removes dust particles, and achieves optimal utilization of the carbon cartridge filter.
Carbon-pocket filters are similar to ordinary pocket filters made of three layer filtration media. The filter is made in F7 quality with an additional layer of activated charcoal applied to the filtration media, and is a combination filter. Odours in the air, as well as dust particles and pollen, are eliminated.
A pocket filter is installed so that the pockets face vertically to allow air to pass correctly. The frames are either 20 or 25 mm in thickness and are made of aluminium which makes them lightweight. Upon request, 25 mm frames can also be made of galvanized steel.
The filters are available in several different sizes, and the pocket count is closely matched to the width of the filter. This is done to utilize the filtration area optimally, this avoiding an unused filtration area in the pockets. The filters fit into most standard systems and are, therefore, easy to install.
Carbon-compact filters are like ordinary compact filters, and are particularly suitable for use in filter plants where space is tight, but where the need for a large filtration area is essential.
The filter has an exceptional ability to capture and eliminate odours from the surrounding air.
The filters are available in several different sizes, and are mostly fitted with a fixed and solid plastic frame, but can also be manufactured with an MDF frame. The carbon-compact filter fits most standard systems and can often be replaced by an ordinary compact filter without rebuilding the filter.
The filter is an electrically discharged filter, made of four-layer non-woven organic synthetic microfibre in F7 quality and activated charcoal. Together, the very tight pleating in the filter, the V-structure, and the filter material combine to make a unique combination filter, which removes dust particles and odours.
Carbon pipe filter
konfAir's carbon pipe filters, also known as “Pixie hats”, are made of a carbon fitration media, which has a unique ability to capture and eliminate odours from, for example, kitchens, fast-food outlets and restaurants. The filters are designed with a steel ring at the top and can easily be installed in your existing circular ventilation ducts. The carbon pipe filter is typically used with a common pipe filter.
Carbon filter mats
konfAir carbon filter mats have an exceptional ability to capture and eliminate odours from locations such as kitchens, fast-food outlets and restaurants.
The filters can be cut into the dimensions that fit your facility. Carbon filter mats are typically used with a quality ventilation filter.
