A cylindrical cartridge filter with activated carbon is, as we know from for example kitchen hoods, specially designed to eliminate odor problems and gases from the air around us.
Carbon cartridge filters are built like a traditional cartridge filter, where activated carbon is added to the filter in powder form which contributes to a large inner filter surface. The carbon is sealed between the inner and outer core that defines the cartridge filter. On the outside, carbon cartridge filters are designed with a fine steel mesh.
The carbon filter is highly sensitive to dust and therefore it is important to install a high-quality particle filter/pollen filter in front of it. This removes dust particles so the optimal use of the carbon cartridge filter can be achieved. The pollen filter can for example be a panel filter in F7, but it is selected based on the construction of the plant.
Carbon cartridge filters are available in various sizes and are often mounted in an installation frame with 4, 8, 12 or 16 filters in the same frame.
